Marisa Miller

Marisa Miller, born August 6, 1978 in Santa Cruz, California, is an American model. Her career started spontaneously, when shy Marisa was noticed by a couple of agents, representing an Italian modeling agency. She shortly moved to Italy and started her modeling career by appearing in the issue for “Perfect 10” magazine, coming behind Ashley Degenford and Monica Hansen in their annual model search, securing her several covers in the following years.
A prominent Hollywood and model industry photographer Mario Testino expressed interest in meeting Marisa after an acquaintance of his showed him some of her pictures. Shortly after her photo shoot, she was featured in several editorials of Vogue magazine. She shortly landed commercial and advertisement contract with such heavyweights as Guess, Hilfiger, Pepsi, Panasonic and Harley-Davidson motorcycles among others.
Miller is perhaps best known for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition photo shoots being featured six times and landing several magazine’s covers. She has also been prominent in her work with Victoria’s Secret, working alongside Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, and Izabel Goulart among others. She has also walked the runway at the Fashion for Relief show, proceeds from which going to support victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Marisa has been widely recognized as one of the most beautiful models in the world, landing her a top spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 ranking in 2008, bypassing previous actresses as Scarlett Johansson and Eva Longoria. She has also beat Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima for the top spot in “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” competition.
