Alyssa Milano, born 19, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American actress and singer. Her first gig came early when she was cast for a role in a TV series “Who is the Boss?” She also played Jenny Matrix in Commando, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Alyssa’s career first took off on television appearing on a show “Melrose Place”, several episodes of “Spin City”, and a successful series “Charmed” and “My Name Is Earl”, successfully shedding her nice girl image and opening up opportunities for more adult-oriented work.
She was cast for several full-feature films, such as “Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story”, “Confessions of a Sorority Girl”, “Deadly Sins”, and “Poison Ivy II”. She has also been successful on a theatre stage, appearing in a musical adaptation of “Jane Eyre”.
Alyssa has been involved in humanitarian work, donating $250,000 of her own money to the Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, and raising another $50,000 for South African women suffering from AIDS. She’s currently a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for the organization.
